Marvel Phase 4 : 10 Projects for 2020 to 2021 ?

At San Diego Comic Con 2019, Kevin Fiege of Marvel Studios announced the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4 and all the new movies and Disney + shows for the year 2020 to 2021. Those fabrics that are actually going to change the course of Marvel.

In various interviews Kevin Fiege said that Phase 4 is all about new beginnings. After the Avengers Endgame everything Marvel Universe have changed some familiar faces take up different mantles, and new faces show up in Marvel Universe sandbox.

Keeping track of this all #hype, so here’s a complete timeline of all the Marvel releases at Comic Con 2019, and some explanation of how these movies can change the MCU as know it now.

Official logo for “Black Widow”

Release Date – May 1 2020

The first film of Marvel Phase 4 will be Black Widow directed by Cate Shortland. few things we know about the movie, except that it will star Scarlet Johansson back as Black Widow, it will also star David Harbour as Red Guardian, Florence Plugh as Yelena, O-T Fagbenele as Mason, and Rachel Weisz as Melina.

Black widow return seems to be interesting as we know that she sacrificed her life in Avengers Endgame to obtain the Soul Stone on Vormir. Marvel has confirmed that movie will take place after Captain America Civil War but before Avengers Infinity War.

Release Date – Fall 2020

While the series doesn’t have a definite release date, its going to be the first Disney+MCU series, which will pick up from the end of Avengers Endgame, which will be starring Anthony Mackie as Falcon and Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier deal with the absence of Captain America.

At the end of Avengers Endgame Steve Rogers (Captain America) gave his shield to Sam Wilson. How Sam Wilson will undergo in order to properly ft in the boots of Captain America? We can expect the MCU Disney+ series to proper origin of Sam as new Captain America before we see him in the next Avengers movie

Zemo, the main villain in Captain America:Civil War, will be returning as the main villain in “The Falcon and Winter Soldier “

Release Date – November 6 2020

An epic assemble starring Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Najiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, an south Korean superstar Don Lee, the film will feature the introduction of an immortal race – The Eternals – who are sent on to save Earth against evil creature, the Deviants.

Official Logo for ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’

Release Date – February 12 2021

Destin Daniel Cretton will be making history as he will be introducing the first Asian superhero, Shang-Chi, its story will take place in the present day. A popular character from the 1970s, Marvel will unleash Shang-chi as modern era kung fu guy who will confront Mandarin, the famed terrorist.

The thing about the Mandarin and his organization, the ten rings, is that they’ve been around since the beginning of the MCU. The Ten Rings were the kidnappers of Tony Stark in 2008 Iron Man, with their logo hidden in films like 2015 Ant Man. After an imposter was dealt with in 2013 Iron Man 3, the true Mandarin will emerge in Shang-chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Release Date – Spring 2021

The Second Disney+ MCU series will be Wanda Vision, starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprising their roles as Wanda and Vision.

Like most of the Phase 4 films and shows, little is actually known about Wanda Vision, except that it will take place after Avengers: Endgame, it will feature Monica Rambeau (the second Captain Marvel) as an adult, and will involve the multiverse through direct ties with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Release Date – Spring 2021

One of the first shows rumored for Disney +, Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role as Loki in a new series that will take Loki dimension, as he possessed the Tesseract(the space stone) in Avengers:Endgame. We can expect to see Loki cameos in future Marvel movies.

Release Date – May 2021

A sequel to 2016 Doctor Strange the movie will star Benedict Cumberbatch back in the role of Doctor Strange. This movie is said to be first true horror in the MCU, Multiverse of Madness hints at a Lovecraftian-esque degree of cosmic terror that arises as Strange explore the multiverses. The film will also have direct ties with WandaVision.

Release Date – Summer 2021

Perhaps spinning from the multiverse shenanigans of Multiverse of Madness, this is a new Marvel animated series What if ? this series will explore crucial story events should a different outcome have occured.

The first episode will be exploring a reality where Peggy Carter (also known as Agent Carter) will be imbued with the super soldier serum. The series will be narrated by Uatu the Watcher, played by Jeffrey Wright.

Release Date – Fall 2021

Matt Fraction and david Aja’s critically accalimed Hawkeye will be adapted into an MCU miniseries, starring Jereny Renner, who will become the mentor of a new archer named Kate Bishop to take over as the new Hawkeye. In this Disney + series we will come, will Hawkeye return as an Avenger.

Release Date – 5 November 2021

We will see a new Thor in ‘Thor Love and Thunder’. Natalia Portman will return as Jane Foster , she will somehow wield the Mjolnir(Thors Hammer). Chris Hemsworth will return as Thor with Tessa Thompson will be starring as Valkyrie.

Thompson has teased that Valkyrie will “look for a queen” now that she’s the new king of Asgard, while introducing a new God of Thunder, and its possible we could see a new Avenger.

Offical logo for ‘Blade’

In the final reveal at Comic Con 2019, Kevin Fiege welcomed Mahershala Ali, who announced that he will play the vampire hunter Blade as a reboot set in MCU. Little about the movie is known till now, and like Eternals, it will also have to answer the question how vampire have not been exposed yet.
